Woman killed in Fells Point

A woman was fatally shot Sunday afternoon in Fells Point, police said. No arrest had been made. Officer Troy Harris, a police spokesman, said the woman's name was being withheld pending family notification. Police responding to at least one shot fired in the 200 block of S. Broadway about 4:30 p.m. found the woman bleeding from at least one bullet wound. She was taken to the trauma center at Johns Hopkins Hospital, where she died about 6:25 p.m., Harris said.

Search continues for White Plains man

Anne Arundel County police are investigating the disappearance of a White Plains man who was last seen near a pier in Edgewater. Police dive teams and canine units have searched the area since the family of Mark Anthony Adkins, 38, reported him missing Wednesday. He was last seen about 9 p.m. March 29 near Shore Drive and Grange Road. Adkins is white, about 6 feet 2 inches tall and 200 pounds, with a muscular build, brown eyes and thinning, straight, short brown hair. He was last seen wearing a white sleeveless T-shirt, green baggy Army-style shorts, white tube socks and white sneakers.

Man dies in apparent I-95 suicide jump

State police said a man died in an apparent suicide Saturday night after jumping off an overpass onto Interstate 95 in Howard County. The man, identified as Alexander Raymond Stewart, 19, of the 9300 block of Spring Water Path in Jessup, died shortly after 11 p.m. after he apparently climbed over the fence at the Vollmerhausen Road overpass and jumped into the lanes of northbound I-95. Stewart was struck by a tractor-trailer and pronounced dead at the scene. State police are looking for information about the tractor-trailer, which was not at the scene when the authorities arrived.

Motorcyclist killed in crash in Pasadena

A motorcyclist was killed Sunday evening when he went off a road in Pasadena and crashed, authorities said. His name was withheld, pending notification of family. The man was driving west on Route 100 near northbound Route 10 about 9 p.m. when he left the roadway for no apparent reason and crashed. He was pronounced dead at the scene. It was unclear whether he was wearing a helmet.
