Anne Arundel County police have arrested two men and charged them with selling drugs from the Severna Park gas station where they worked, police said Friday. About 5 p.m. Thursday, after executing a search warrant at a Shell gas station in the 600 block of Ritchie Highway, police said, they found $46,000 worth of marijuana, more than 6 grams of cocaine and more than $13,000 in cash. Police said they began an investigation about two months ago, after receiving complaints that "large amounts" of drugs were being sold from the gas station. Police arrested Arthur Paul Gonsalvez, 53, of Beltsville, and Raymond Failla, 25, of Silver Spring, at the station. About three hours later, police also found $7,500 worth of marijuana at Gonsalvez's home, they said. Gonsalvez has been charged with possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of cocaine and possession of paraphernalia. Gonsalvez is being held at the county detention center on $300,000 bail. Failla was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of paraphernalia and is being held on $75,000 bail.

Carroll man charged with murder of infant

A Carroll County man faces a second-degree murder charge in the death of his girlfriend's 8-month-old daughter, investigators said. Donald Ray Pevia Jr., 28, was indicted by a grand jury Thursday on eight counts in the death last month of Ky'leigh Rogers of the 900 block of Caren Drive in Sykesville, said county deputy state's attorney David Daggett. The infant was pronounced dead at Carroll Hospital Center on March 3 after being taken to the hospital with apparent respiratory problems. An autopsy by the state medical examiner's office indicated that the girl died from blunt force trauma, and the death was ruled a homicide.

Teen held in BB-gun wounding at school

A Carroll County high school student was arrested Thursday, accused of firing a shot from a BB gun that injured a classmate in a hallway at school, the state police said. Anthony Harvey, 18, of Westminster was charged with first-degree assault, second-degree assault, reckless endangerment and disrupting school activities. About 11 a.m. Thursday, officers were called to Westminster High School for a reported assault, police said. Officers said Harvey had taken a BB gun from his backpack and fired it at a 15-year-old girl, wounding her left arm.

Pikesville Target, rid of rodents, reopens

The Pikesville Target, which had been ordered closed because of a rodent infestation, reopened Friday after Baltimore County environmental protection inspectors determined that the store had resolved the problem.
