Lowly Wizards end Cavs' 13-game streak

Gilbert Arenas and the host Washington Wizards recovered after blowing a 14-point second-half lead and ended the franchise-record 13-game winning streak of LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers (61-14) with a 109-101 victory Thursday night. Arenas, playing his second game of the season, had with 11 points and 10 assists and six rebounds. Brendan Haywood, making his first start of the season, had 12 points and 10 rebounds for the Wizards (18-59), who also received the usual steady contributions from Caron Butler (25 points) and Antawn Jamison (19). James scored 31 points.

76ers 105, Bucks 95: : Andre Iguodala scored 20 points, and host Philadelphia (39-35) rallied from a 13-point first-half deficit to defeat Milwaukee (32-45).

Floyd, Pearl to stay; Terps get 2010 recruit

Tim Floyd will stay on as Southern California's coach, spurning an offer to become the basketball coach at Arizona. He was offered the job Wednesday to replace interim Wildcats coach Russ Pennell, who took over when Hall of Fame coach Lute Olson retired before the start of the season. Floyd, 55, has led the Trojans to the NCAA tournament three consecutive seasons.

Tennessee: : Coach Bruce Pearl has a newly renegotiated six-year deal keeping him with the school. It came hours after reports that Memphis wanted to talk to Pearl about replacing John Calipari.

Maryland: : Point guard Terrell Stoglin, a junior at Santa Rita High in Tucson, Ariz., orally committed for 2010, the Arizona Daily Star reported. Stoglin averaged 27 points and 7.5 assists this season.

Wooden women's team: : Maryland's Kristi Toliver and Louisville's Angel McCoughtry (St. Frances) were named to the John R. Wooden All-America team.

Et cetera: : Jamelle Cornley scored 18 points and Penn State (27-11) used a big second half in New York to capture a 69-63 win over Baylor (24-15) and the National Invitation Tournament title. ... Georgia hired Nevada's Mark Fox to replace Dennis Felton as coach, a source told the Associated Press. ... Butler coach Brad Stevens agreed to a contract extension with the Bulldogs through 2015-16.
