Bob Barker comes on down to 'Price'

Bob Barker returned to The Price Is Right - and this time he was the showcase.

After nearly two years in retirement, the 85-year-old former game show host was invited to come on down to The Price Is Right to promote his memoir, Priceless Memories, due out April 6.

The silver-haired host appeared Wednesday alongside successor Drew Carey near the finale of the show, which airs April 16, to present two prize showcases that were somewhat stretched to promote Barker's memoir.

Wayna arrested

Packing a stage prop in the wrong bag got Wayna, the Grammy-nominated local indie soul singer, arrested Wednesday at Houston's Bush Intercontinental Airport.

The item that attracted security's attention was a police baton prop used during her performance of her song "Billy Club," which addresses police brutality. The prop was packed in the wrong bag, says Wayna's publicist Fiona Bloom. But an explanation to security was futile, as the Ethiopian singer who lives in Bowie was arrested on a third-degree felony weapon charge. After 12 hours in jail, Wayna was released early Thursday morning on $5,000 bail.
