Tiger Woods, eliminated at the Accenture Match Play Championship in the second round two weeks ago, will be assured of playing four rounds this week in the CA Championship, a PGA Tour event that will feature a world-class field of 80 players in Doral, Fla. It will be his first stroke-play tournament since he won the U.S. Open in June, a week before reconstructive surgery on his left knee. The tournament has no cut, which certainly helps. "I've only played two tournaments in what - 10 months? Not a whole lot of golf," Woods said after a practice round. "So for me, I just need rounds under my belt, and this week will obviously be a very positive week for me." The Florida swing traditionally begins the road to the Masters. How soon does Woods need to know where his game is? "The next couple of weeks would be nice," he said.

Taking over the game when he wanted to, Chris Paul compiled his NBA-leading sixth triple double with 30 points, 13 assists and 10 rebounds, steering the New Orleans Hornets (40-23) to a 109-98 victory over the host Washington Wizards (15-50). Washington led by 12 points in the first half, but Paul brought his team back. "We threw just about every defensive scheme we had, and he had the antidote to whatever we tried," Wizards interim coach Ed Tapscott said. Antawn Jamison led Washington with 25 points and 10 rebounds.

Kellogg Co. donated thousands of boxes of cereal with Michael Phelps' picture on them to the San Francisco Food Bank. Kellogg declined last month to renew its endorsement deal with the Olympic swimming star and Baltimore resident after a photo surfaced showing him smoking from a marijuana pipe. Kellogg officials responded to questions from the Associated Press with an e-mail saying the company routinely donates food that is nearing the end of its shelf life but still good.

Skiing: : Lindsey Vonn captured the women's overall title for the second straight year by winning the last downhill of the season at the World Cup finals in Are, Sweden. The American completed the 1.6-mile Olympia course in 1 minute, 42.49 seconds. Vonn become the first U.S. woman to capture two World Cup overall titles.

College basketball: : Boston University fired Dennis Wolff after 15 seasons as men's coach, four days after the team was upset by UMBC, 79-75, in overtime in the first round of the America East tournament. BU went 17-13.
