No. 8 Old Mill, No. 5 Arundel win in 4A East

Ciarra Lucas hit a three-pointer with 30 seconds left to lift No. 8 Old Mill over visiting Leonardtown, 46-44, in a Class 4A East regional semifinal last night.

Old Mill (19-6) trailed by 44-43 with a minute to go.

Lucas finished with a game-high 17 points. Old Mill faces host Arundel in tomorrow's regional final at 2 p.m.

No. 5 Arundel 57, South River 30: : Simone Egwu led all scorers with 16 points as the host Wildcats (21-4) beat the Seahawks in Class 4A East.

No. 3 Western 88, Dundalk 29: : Keirah Hicks had a game-high 23 points to power the host Doves (19-5) past the Owls in Class 3A North. Western faces host Catonsville at noon in tomorrow's regional final.

No. 6 River Hill 55, Mount Hebron 39: : Alex Vega had 15 points and Alicia Seelaus added 14 as the host Hawks (25-0) defeated the Vikings in Class 2A South. Mount Hebron's Brittany Bowen scored 13 points. River Hill hosts North Point-Charles tomorrow at 7:30 p.m.

No. 8 Catonsville 67, Hereford 19: : Shamika Williams scored a game-high 27 points to power the host Comets (22-2) past the Bulls in Class 3A North. Catonsville led 33-4 at the half.

Aberdeen 67, No. 14 Howard 57: : Tiffany Taylor scored a game-high 33 points and the visiting Eagles (17-6) upset the Lions (20-4) in Class 3A East. Nyree Williams led Howard with 20 points and 21 rebounds. Aberdeen started pulling away in the fourth quarter in a game in which neither team led by more than four points. Aberdeen faces host Fallston tomorrow at 7 p.m.

Dunbar 55, Pikesville 49: : Shylia Bui had 11 points and Michelle Wright added 10 to lead the visiting Poets (16-8) past the Panthers (16-5) in Class 1A North. Dunbar faces host Digital Harbor at 2 p.m. tomorrow.

North Carroll 57, Woodlawn 45: : Caitlin Bach scored a game-high 21 points to lead the visiting Panthers past the Warriors (10-11) in Class 4A North. Shadequa Longus led Woodlawn with 17 points. North Carroll faces the winner of C. Milton Wright vs. Linganore in tomorrow's regional final.

Randallstown 51, Eastern Tech 34: : Kelsie Singleton had a game-high 21 points to lead the host Rams (15-5) past the Mustangs in Class 2A North. The Rams led 30-15 at the half. Randallstown faces host City tomorrow at 1 p.m.
