Police identify victims of fatal shootings
Yesterday, police identified three men found fatally shot Wednesday in separate locations in the city and whose deaths appear to be unrelated. No arrests had been made. Shortly before 3 a.m., Eastern District police found Demetrius M. Saulsbury, 22, of the 3400 block of Elmley Ave., in the 1700 block of N. Washington St. in the Broadway East neighborhood suffering from a bullet wound to the head. He died a short time later at Johns Hopkins Hospital. About 1:45 p.m., Southwestern District police in the 4500 block of Franklintown Road at Gwynns Falls Trail observed the door of a restroom broken and a man's feet sticking out. On the floor, police found the body of Lemuel Wallace, 37, of the 4500 block of Maryknoll Road. Detective Nicole Monroe, a police spokeswoman, said officers were in the area of the restroom a few hours earlier and that there were no signs of violence. In the Coldstream-Homestead-Montebello neighborhood in Northeast Baltimore, David Bryan Wright, 47, of the 2900 block of E. Federal St. was fatally shot in a house in the 1600 block of Gorsuch Ave. about 4 p.m. Metro Crime Stoppers, 410-276-8888, is offering a reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to an arrest and an indictment in any of the homicides.
