"Eat, Drink, and Be Active: Diet & Nutrition for Arthritis Management," the first in the 2009 AAMC Arthritis Seminar Series, will be held 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Feb. 9 in the medical center's Clatanoff Pavilion Auditorium, 2001 Medical Parkway, Annapolis.
AAMC orthopedic surgeon Dr. Edward R. McDevitt will discuss the effectiveness of nutritional supplements, and AAMC physical therapist Jennifer Gurka will describe related physical therapy.
Registered nurse Andie Lichtenstein will talk about the aging athlete.

Pregnancy, childbirth classes : The Baltimore Washington Medical Center, 301 Hospital Drive, Glen Burnie, offers information on pregnancy, childbirth education, an anesthesia class, preparation for multiple births, and classes on breast-feeding, infant care and infant CPR.
* An Infant and Child CPR Heartsaver Certification class is offered on some Fridays and Saturdays. Pregnancy Yoga and Mommy and Me Yoga are also available.
