Wine Tasting 101 at Herrington on the Bay Catering

Herrington on the Bay Catering will hold Wine Tasting 101 with chefs Michael Archibald, Tom McReynolds, Daniel Bergendahl and Eric Juergens at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at 7151 Lake Shore Drive, Rose Haven.

Chef Bergendahl will discuss the origins and history of wine, how wine is made, and the different characteristics of grapes and aging.

The cost is $45 per person and includes wine tasting.

Business Partnership breakfast

The BWI Business Partnership will hold its monthly signature breakfast meeting 7:45 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Jan. 29 at the Westin Baltimore Washington Airport Hotel, 1110 Old Elkridge Landing Road, Linthicum.

Johnny Long of Computer Sciences Corporation's Global Security Solutions will share insights on how people provide sensitive information to others every day.

Chesapeake Regional Tech Council (CRTC) will hold a Tech Focus Seminar, Growth and Exit Strategies: How to Prepare, When to Proceed, from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at The Sheraton Annapolis Hotel, 173 Jennifer Road, Annapolis.

Moderator Chris Ourand and panelists Chris Desautelle, Greg Boucher and Jay Acker will discuss the importance of a strategic assessment of how to handle the recession.

The Maryland Capital chapter of the American Business Women's Association will hold a dinner meeting from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Feb. 11 at the Sheraton Barcelo Hotel, 173 Jennifer Road, Annapolis.

Dana Clark, a former operational psychologist with the CIA, will give a presentation on personality assessments and how to achieve the best results and hire the best employees.
