Haunted history of Ellicott City

Howard County Tourism will present Ye Haunted History of Olde Ellicott City Ghost Tour on Feb. 13 at the Howard County Visitor Information Center, 8267 Main St., side entrance.

Friday the 13th tours will also be offered in March and November. The ghost tours are normally held at 8:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, April through November, starting at the same location.

The cost is $10; $8 for seniors, children, and active military personnel and their families. The Crab Shanty in Ellicott City offers a discount to ghost tour "survivors."

Garden programs

The Miller branch library, 9421 Frederick Road, Ellicott City, will sponsor a presentation by master gardeners on "Grow Great Tomatoes From Seeds," at 7 p.m. Feb. 4. Information: 410-313-1950.

Dance, cheer coaches sought : The Ellicott City Patriots Football & Cheer Program is seeking volunteer coaches with dance, cheer or gymnastic experience. Needed are head and assistant coaches, teen coaches, stunt coaches, dance coaches, cheer gymnastic coaches, competition coaches and fitness trainers.
