Hometown: Baltimore

Members: Dave Gibson, guitar and vocals; Todd Martin, bass; Brad Faddis, guitar; Paul Fuller, drums

Founded : 2005

Style: psychedelic rock

Influenced by: Brian Jonestown Massacre, the Rolling Stones, Donovan

Notable: The band took its name from a real pond in western Howard County, Gibson said. It is currently signed to MT6 Records, a locally run grass-roots label, and hopes to release a new seven-inch record in the spring.

Quotable: "We've always wanted to do something on wax," Gibson said. "I love vinyl. I'm a vinyl collector. There's something sweet about holding a record in your hand. That will be one more accomplishment for us."

If you go : Bad Liquor Pond performs with the Agrarians on Saturday at Joe Squared, 133 W. North Ave. The music starts at 9 p.m. Free. Call 410-545-0444 or go to The band:
