Ravens 3 Dolphins 3

The Ravens moved with ease on their opening drive into Dolphins territory using a no-huddle offense. After two runs that gained 12 yards, quarterback Joe Flacco hit his favorite target, Derrick Mason, for 18 yards. Le'Ron McClain rushed for 5 yards to move the ball to the Dolphins' 38-yard line, but he fumbled on his next carry, and the Dolphins' Joey Porter recovered and was tackled at Miami's 49. The Dolphins' ensuing drive went deep into Ravens territory before Miami kicked a field goal instead of going for it on fourth down from the 1. The Ravens responded with a field goal of their own.

Dolphins: FG Carpenter 19, 8:17

Ravens: FG Stover 23, 2:47

Ravens 13 Dolphins 3

The game became a defensive struggle until the Dolphins tried moving the ball late in the second quarter. The Ravens' Ed Reed intercepted Dolphins quarterback Chad Pennington and took the ball back 64 yards for the game's first touchdown. It changed the momentum, and the Ravens forced the Dolphins into a three-and-out on their next possession. Stover added three more points as what looked like a 3-3 halftime score turned into a 13-3 Ravens advantage.

Ravens 20 Dolphins 3

After a relatively quiet beginning to the third quarter, the Ravens again took advantage of a Dolphins turnover and converted it into a touchdown. The Dolphins' Patrick Cobbs, a backup running back, was stripped of the ball by backup defensive lineman Marques Douglas, and it was recovered by Terrell Suggs at Miami's 19. Four plays later, McClain danced into the end zone from 8 yards out for a 20-3 lead.

Ravens: L. McClain 8 run (Stover kick), 7:33

Ravens 27 Dolphins 9

The Ravens, who have become known as closers this season by putting away teams in the final quarter, did that to the Dolphins. After Miami closed to 20-9, the teams traded punts before the Ravens went 71 yards in eight plays, highlighted by a 48-yard run by Willis McGahee and 5-yard touchdown run by Flacco on a quarterback draw, to seal the victory and a trip to Nashville, Tenn., to play the Titans.

Dolphins: Brown 2 pass from Pennington (kick blocked), 13:09

Ravens: Flacco 5 run (Stover kick), 3:53
