Cole recognized as Instructor of the Year

The North American Riding for the Handicapped Association has named Beth Cole the 2008 Instructor of the Year for Region 2, which encompasses Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Washington, D.C.

Cole is a Certified Registered Level NARHA instructor at Chesapeake Therapeutic Riding Inc. in Abingdon. She has worked with equine-assisted activities and therapies for 20 years.

NARHA provides standards for safe and enabling equine activities for people with special needs through education, communication, certification of riding instructors and accreditation of equestrian centers. Cole was recognized at the annual awards banquet during the 2008 NARHA National Conference and Annual Meeting in Hartford, Conn.
