Police seek attempted robbery suspects

Four men and a woman attacked and tried to rob a man in Glen Burnie after he refused to give them a cigarette, county police said.

About 11:30 p.m. Friday, the suspects walked up to a man near the intersection of Aquahart Road and Crain Highway and asked for a cigarette, police said.

When the man refused, the suspects attacked him, causing minor injuries, and unsuccessfully tried to take his cell phone, police said.

The suspects ran toward Crain Highway and police were unable to find them.

Armed robbery

Two men tried to rob a Crofton Chinese restaurant and shot a 44-year-old employee Friday night, county police said.

According to police, a man with a shotgun entered the Hunan Express in the 1100 block of Route 3 north around 10:45. Two employees ran out a back door of the restaurant, and the gunman ran out the front door and then around to the back.

A second suspect was waiting by the back door and both men rushed the restaurant. One shot a man in the left arm and leg, police said.

The employee was taken to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center. Police did not find either suspect.

Teen confesses to burglary

A teenager confessed to burglarizing a Severn home after police found a stolen revolver in his car during a traffic stop, county police said.

Police stopped a car on Old Stage Court in Glen Burnie about 4:15 p.m. on Dec. 8, police said.

According to police, officers searched the car driven by Julian McCrimmon, 18, of the 600 block of Old Stage Road and found a Ruger Blackhawk .357 revolver under the front passenger seat. By tracing the serial number, they learned that the gun had been stolen from a Severn home on Dec. 2.

McCrimmon confessed, and he was charged with burglary, theft and other, lesser charges, police said.

The three other men in the car, Bryan Travon Blake, 21, of the 7900 block of East Park Drive in Glen Burnie; Jonathan Issac Rucker, 18, of the 1300 block of Winner Circle in Gambrills; and Erick Galvin, 18, of the 1300 block of Hillcrest Road in Glen Burnie, were charged with possession of a handgun and theft.
