Boys basketball

Annapolis at Arundel

WHEN: Tomorrow, 6:45 p.m.

OUTLOOK: The teams closely resemble each other in that they are both deep, quick, athletic and like to get up and down the floor. The visiting Panthers have a balanced offense led by junior Guard Chris Brice and junior Forward Delmore Howard, an Archbishop Spalding transfer. Annapolis coach John Brady also has received quality minutes from his bench in the early going. The starting point for Arundel is senior Forward Auraum Nuiriankh, with junior G/F R.J. Harris bringing versatility to the floor. The host Wildcats have the slight edge in a game that could come down to the closing minute.

THE BALTIMORE SUN'S PICK: Arundel

Girls basketball

Arundel at Seton Keough

WHEN: Monday, 6 p.m.

OUTLOOK: The Wildcats' first shot at an Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland A Conference opponent didn't go so well, as they fell to St. Frances, 56-45. last week. A visit to Seton Keough will provide another difficult task. The Wildcats have been hampered by early injuries, including standout 6-foot-3 senor Forward Simone Egwu, who is out indefinitely with an ankle injury from volleyball season. The Wildcats have plenty of firepower, led by 6-4 senior Forward Sheronne Vails and senior Guard Ashley Davis, and they will have to find an answer for the Gators' 6-5 All-Metro Center Asya Bussie.
