Party and silent auction fundraiser to be held

Jing Ying Institute of Kung Fu and Tai Chi, in Arnold, will hold its 5th annual Holiday Party and Silent Auction fundraiser at noon Saturday at the institute, 1195 Baltimore Annapolis Blvd, #6, Arnold.

The event will begin with a traditional Chinese Lion Dance performance and end with the silent auction.

Appetizers and beverages will be provided.

Donations for the silent auction will be accepted through Friday .

The fundraiser will support the Severna Park Assistance Network (SPAN). Bring a canned food donation to help stock the food pantry at SPAN.

Young professional events

The Young Anne Arundel Professionals, a social club primarily for single professionals to make new friends and share camaraderie, has announced its programs for December.

Activities include networking events at 6 p.m. today at Adam's Ribs, 589 Baltimore Annapolis Blvd, Severna Park; 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Texas Roadhouse, 4465 Mountain Road, Pasadena; 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Panera Bread, 8125 Ritchie Highway, Pasadena; 6:30 p.m., Dec. 23 at China Buffett, 554-A Ritchie Highway, Severna Park; 6 p.m. Dec.30 at Brian Boru, 489 Ritchie Highway, Severna Park.

Tech council program

Chesapeake Regional Tech Council has announced its events for December.

The tech council will hold a Holiday InfoMixer from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Annapolis Maritime Museum, 723 2nd St., Annapolis.

Participants are asked to bring a bottle of wine to enter a raffle to win the collection.

Bring nonperishable food to benefit the food bank.

The cost is $10 for members in advance, $15 for members at the door and $20 for nonmembers.

A Membership 101 program will be held from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Friday at 2660 Riva Road, Suite 200, Annapolis.

New and veteran members can network, and learn how to make the most of their memberships.

The program is free. Registration is strongly suggested by 2 p.m. Thursday .
