No Molly on 'Millionaire'

Z ON TV

December 10, 2008|By DAVID ZURAWIK | DAVID ZURAWIK,David.Zurawik@baltsun.com

First of all, let me tell what is not on tonight, so you can plan your viewing accordingly.

While the Fox reality show, Secret Millionaire, returns for its second week, the segment featuring Baltimore's Molly Shattuck will not air until Dec. 17, according to a Fox spokesman. Executive producer Greg Goldman had told The Baltimore Sun that he thought the Shattuck episode would air this week, but viewers will just have to wait.

This is the show that features millionaires going undercover to spend a week with people from less-privileged backgrounds, and them giving at least $100,000 to one of the people they meet. (8 p.m., WBFF, Channel 45).

Unless You Have Digital: There is a terrific independent film, Inheritance, showing nationally on PBS tonight at 10. It's about an adult daughter discovering the horrors of her Nazi father's past. But the only place area viewers can see it is on MPT Select. That's the digital channel - not Channel 22. (The film will air Dec. 17 on the regular MPT, Channel 22.)

On my blog, I write this week about MPT and WETA-Channel 26 burying or not airing independent films at all.

Late-Night Guests: American Idol judge Paula Abdul visits Late Show with David Letterman. Olympian Michael Phelps visits The Late Show with Jay Leno.
