Brandon Roy took over down the stretch last night, scoring 12 of his 22 points in the final eight minutes to help visiting Portland beat the Washington Wizards, 98-92, and extend the Trail Blazers' winning streak to six games.
The well-balanced Blazers put five players in double figures: Roy, Greg Oden, LaMarcus Aldridge, Rudy Fernandez and Steve Blake (Maryland). Oden, the rookie center who missed all last season, finished with 13 points and 10 rebounds for his sixth double double in the past 12 games.
Antawn Jamison scored 22 points and Caron Butler added 16 for the Wizards, who fell to an Eastern Conference-worst 3-13.
Celtics 114, Pacers 96: : Rajon Rondo notched his first career triple double and Ray Allen scored 31 points, leading Boston over visiting Indiana for its 10th straight victory.
Magic 100, Timberwolves 89: : Dwight Howard had 23 points and 14 rebounds, and Rashard Lewis also scored 23 points for host Orlando. Al Jefferson had 19 for Minnesota.
Hawks 105, Grizzlies 95: : Joe Johnson scored 26 points, and Mike Bibby had 20 points and 10 assists for host Atlanta.
The Hawks welcomed back Josh Smith, their $58 million forward who missed the previous 12 games with an ankle sprain. In 28 minutes, Smith had 14 points, six rebounds, five assists, four turnovers and one blocked shot.
Rudy Gay (Archbishop Spalding) had 16 points and 10 rebounds as Memphis dropped its season-worst seventh straight.
Lakers 114, 76ers 102: : Kobe Bryant tormented his hometown team again, scoring 32 points to help Los Angeles rebound from a last-second loss to Indiana. The 76ers lost for the fourth time in five games and haven't won consecutive games since Nov. 21-23.
Bobcats 103, Thunder 97: : Emeka Okafor had 25 points and 13 rebounds to lead a balanced attack as host Charlotte sent Oklahoma City, which ended a franchise-record-tying 14-game losing streak Saturday, back to its losing ways.
Cavaliers 118, Knicks 82: : LeBron James scored 21 points and grabbed an early seat on the bench as Cleveland improved to 10-0 on its own floor for the first time with its 14th win in 15 games. Al Harrington scored 20 points for New York.
Hornets 104, Suns 91: : Chris Paul had 24 points and 15 assists to lead host New Orleans, which has won five of its past six games.
The Suns were without guard Steve Nash, who was ill, and Shaquille O'Neal, resting for tonight's game in Dallas.
