On Friday, November 14, 2008, ARTHUR DAVID GOODWIN (Bud), age 76, died at St. Joseph's Hospital in Towson. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Arthur and Patricia Goodwin. Mr. Goodwin was graduate of the Johns Hopkins School of Engineering which he attended on a full scholarship. He later received his masters degree from George Washington University. Mr. Goodwin started his career in 1954 at Aberdeen Proving Grounds. Mr. Goodwin married Joan Wilheim on June 18, 1955. In 1956 he went to California in the employment of Howard Hughes in Culvert City. In 1960 Mr. Goodwin brought his family back east to work for the Westinghouse Corporation on such projects as the Stealth Bomber. He retired in 1988 to spend more time with his family and to pursue his many interests. He is survived by his wife, Joan (formerly Wilheim) Goodwin, and his son Jeffrey A. Goodwin and his wife Katherine, his daughter Leah McCombs and her husband John, and his son Gregory. Mr. Goodwin is also survived by his four grandchildren, Nishian Mooshian, Drew Goodwin, Kyle Goodwin, Alishia Ames and her husband T.J. Ames. The family will receive visitors for a memorial service at Ruck Towson Funeral Home, 1050 York Road, Towson, Maryland 21204, on Saturday, November 22, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Salvation Army in Mr. Goodwin's memory.
