Ex-'Idol' contestant found dead near Abdul's house

Authorities have identified the woman found dead outside American Idol judge Paula Abdul's house as a fan and one-time show contestant.

Paula Goodspeed, 30, was found dead outside Abdul's house Tuesday evening, authorities said. The Los Angeles County coroner's office said relatives identified her body yesterday.

Goodspeed tried out for the fifth season of American Idol, but the judges rejected her rendition of "Proud Mary."

Relatives reported her missing Tuesday afternoon. Police suspect that her death was a suicide, but no official cause of death had been determined.

Abdul was not home when the woman was found but released a statement saying that she was "deeply shocked and saddened."

Aniston upset about Jolie

Jennifer Aniston says Angelina Jolie was out of line when she spilled details about her relationship with Brad Pitt while Jolie and Pitt were filming Mr. & Mrs. Smith.

In an interview in the December issue of Vogue, Aniston talks about the magazine's 2007 profile of Jolie, who talked about growing chummy with Pitt - then married to Aniston - while shooting the action film in 2004.

"There was stuff printed there that was definitely from a time when I was unaware that it was happening," Aniston says. "I felt those details were a little inappropriate to discuss. That stuff about how she couldn't wait to get to work every day? That was really uncool."

Jolie recently told The New York Times that she and Pitt fell in love on the Mr. & Mrs. Smith set.

Pitt and Aniston, who were married in July 2000, announced their separation in January 2005. In the months that followed, Pitt was seen in public with Jolie. Pitt and Aniston divorced in October 2005.

The couple have been married since 2003. Their daughter Sadie was born in May 2006.

Chesney is tops at CMAs

Kenny Chesney took home his third straight entertainer of the year trophy at the CMA Awards.

Though he was nominated for seven awards, it was the only trophy that he won. But it was the biggest of the night.

Chesney tied Garth Brooks for most wins in that category.

Other award winners included George Strait, who won single and album of the year for his poignant tune "I Saw God Today."

Also winning two awards was Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland, which won the award for duo of the year. Earlier, Nettles won song of the year for Sugarland's hit "Stay."

Rascal Flatts won their sixth straight vocal group of the year award.

Everybody doesn't love him

Los Angeles authorities are investigating battery allegations against former Everybody Loves Raymond actor Brad Garrett in an incident involving a photographer in West Hollywood.

Los Angeles County sheriff's Sgt. Kristin Aloma said the 48-year-old Garrett has not been arrested in the incident, which occurred late Tuesday or early yesterday. She did not provide further details.

A video posted on celebrity gossip site TMZ.com shows photographers shooting and taping Garrett for about three minutes as he left a restaurant. As he approached his vehicle, Garrett briefly chased one photographer, then pushed the video camera of another.

In the video, the man immediately says that Garrett broke his camera, although it shows him holding it up as if he is still filming. The men exchange words, and Garrett appears to challenge the paparazzi to a fight. No punches were thrown.
