Class 4A East region semifinal: No. 10 North County vs. No. 6 Arundel

WHEN: Tomorrow, 7

OUTLOOK: Expect plenty of offensive fireworks, as the two teams both have high-powered offenses. The Wildcats claimed the second seed with their 9-1 mark, led by the QB-WR tandem of Billy Cosh and Alec Lemon. Cosh has thrown for 2,776 yards and 43 TDs. The Syracuse-bound Lemon has 73 catches for 1,082 yards and 19 TDs. The Knights (8-2), coming off a 7-6 loss to Broadneck, counter with senior RB Dino Stevens, who has 24 TDs on the season. Arundel won the regular-season game, 50-34, Sept. 19. Top-seeded Old Mill hosts fourth-seeded Severna Park in the other semifinal at 7 p.m.

MIAA B Conference championship: St. Mary's vs. St. Paul's

WHEN: Saturday, 6

WHERE: Towson University

OUTLOOK: The defending league champion Saints beat Severn, 35-12, on Friday, and got help when Archbishop Curley defeated John Carroll, to gain a spot in the title game against first-place St. Paul's. Two weeks ago, the Crusaders, led by QB Troy Jones, came away with a 27-26 win against St. Mary's with a blocked extra point in the fourth quarter proving to be the difference. The Saints (6-5, 6-2) lean on the strong running of RB Neill Lewnes, and when QB Trey Quinn looks to pass, WR Mark McNeill is often at the other end.
