Police reports in Baltimore city and county:

Northwestern Baltimore

Shooting A man was in critical condition at Maryland Shock Trauma Center on Thursday night after he was shot in the face and a leg by an unknown assailant in the 2700 block of N. Longwood St. near Piedmont Avenue in the Hanlon-Longwood neighborhood. Police responding to a 911 call about 9 p.m. found the man lying in the street. The man's name was withheld pending notification of family members.

Western Baltimore

Shooting Police responding to a report of a man shot in the 1000 block of Vine St. in the Poppleton community about 6:40 p.m. Wednesday found the victim, 29, bleeding from gunshot wounds to the lower right side of his back. The victim was taken by a city Fire Department ambulance to Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where he had surgery. His condition was not available, and no arrest had been made.

Northern Baltimore

Robbery A man armed with a knife entered a Subway in the first block of E. 25th St. about 6 p.m. Wednesday and robbed an employee of an undisclosed sum of money and a cell phone valued at $300.

Robbery Police were seeking two teenage boys, one armed with a handgun, who robbed a boy, 13, of his mountain bike and a cell phone in the 2300 block of N. Calvert St. about 5 p.m. Wednesday. The property was valued at $1,100.

Southeastern Baltimore

Theft A laptop computer valued at $2,500 was stolen Thursday from a Chevrolet Malibu parked in the 200 block of N. Milton Ave.

Theft A 2002 Chevrolet van was parked in the 600 block of N. Glover St. on Thursday when someone entered the vehicle and stole a laptop computer valued at $800.

Stolen vehicle Police were seeking a two-door 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier with tags 68441CB that was stolen Thursday in the 200 block of N. Central Ave.

Assault A man, 44, was walking in the 400 block of Oldham St. about 6 p.m. Thursday when he was attacked by three men, one armed with a stick. The victim was treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Robbery A woman, 34, was assaulted in the 200 block of S. Broadway about noon Wednesday by an unarmed man who forced her to give up her keys, then stole her gold-colored 2008 Infiniti with tags 17044M8.

Baltimore Co. - Parkville

Robbery try/arrests Four boys between the ages of 15 and 17 were arrested Thursday and charged with attempting to rob two boys, both 14, of their property at Dunfield Road and Hydra Lane on Wednesday afternoon. The incident was reported Thursday. The four boys were charged as juveniles and released into the custody of their parents.

Baltimore Co. - Cockeysville

Thefts Someone broke into three vehicles parked on a lot in the 100 block of W. Timonium Road on Wednesday and stole several compact discs, cash, credit cards, a gym bag and a navigational system. Police were seeking the driver of a 1989 Chevrolet station wagon with tags HDW 565 observed leaving the parking lot at the time of the thefts.

Baltimore Co. - Pikesville

Robbery A woman, 24, was seated in her car parked in the 7100 block of Liberty Road on Tuesday evening when two men, one armed with a shotgun, robbed her of her wallet containing papers and a small sum of money.
