Donna A. Waters, administrative aide

Donna A. Waters, an administrative assistant and avid fisher, died of cancer Wednesday at her Pasadena home. She was 48.

Donna A. Yirka was born in Baltimore and raised in Curtis Bay. She was a 1978 graduate of Southern High School.

For the past decade, she had been an administrative assistant with the Baltimore New Homes Guide.

Since 1999, Mrs. Waters had lived in Pasadena. She enjoyed boating, fishing, attending Ravens games and playing Bunco.

Mrs. Waters also liked traveling and was particularly fond of visiting Magen's Bay at St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands, family members said.

Surviving are her husband of 20 years, Kenneth J. Waters, a superintendent with the Whiting-Turner Contracting Co.; her father, Donald A. Yirka of Curtis Bay; a brother, Donald J. Yirka of Brooklyn Park; two sisters, Sharon Carter of New Castle, Del., and Lisa Laclair of Pasadena; and many nieces and nephews.
