5 Things To Look For Today

November 07, 2008

Go west:

No East Coast bias: Nevada at Fresno State football (9 p.m., ESPN2). The writer William Saroyan was from Fresno. Just throwing that out there.

Must be the shoes:

The Knicks come to Washington to face the Wizards (7 p.m., Comcast SportsNet), but don't expect to see Stephon Marbury (left) on the court. He and his big contract continue to be inactive.

Postseason hopes:

Despite its three forfeits, No. 12 Joppatowne could still make the state football playoffs with a win at home against C. Milton Wright (7 p.m.).

Two more wins:

State boys soccer has reached the semifinals, with South Carroll (Class 1A, 5 p.m.) and Marriotts Ridge (2A, 7 p.m.) in action at Washington College.

1A, what:

do you say?:

The girls Class 1A soccer finalists will be decided at Broadneck, and locals Sparrows Point (5 p.m.) and Glenelg (7:30 p.m.) will be kickin' it.
