Fran Younger writes from Solomons: "When they give temperature readings in the morning on TV weather forecasts, Salisbury's is often significantly lower from the rest of that part of the state. ... Why is that?" I hadn't noticed that. But if it's true, it might be that the town's inland location, somewhat more distant from the heat stored in the bay and ocean water, allows greater overnight cooling.
