Election Day closures

Harford County Government offices will be open Tuesday for Election Day.

The Harford County Waste Disposal Center and Waste to Energy, senior centers and public library will be open. Harford transit will be in service.

The Harford County Health Department will be closed.

Public schools and administration offices will be closed.

Winter hours for waste

The Harford County Department of Public Works has announced that the department's yard waste drop-off facility at 703 N. Tollgate Road will switch to winter hours starting Tuesday.

The Tollgate Drop-off Site's winter hours will be from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. The facility is for Harford County residents only. No commercial drop-offs are permitted.

Acceptable lawn and garden trimmings include grass, leaves, brush and branches up to six inches in diameter and six feet in length.

Resource Fair set

The Harford County Resource Fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the McFaul Activities Center, 525 W. MacPhail Road, Bel Air.

Seniors, caregivers or citizens interested in learning more about what's available on a daily basis can find out at the fair. Area vendors will share information on resources and services available to Harford citizens, especially those in the greater Bel Air area.

The Resource Fair, while geared toward senior citizens, is free and open to the public.
