Kristen Lamon scored with 1:47 left in overtime to give St. Paul's (16-6) a 2-1 win over visiting Severn (5-10) in the Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland A Conference quarterfinals.

The sophomore was set up on the left post when teammate Haydon Judge came down the right side on a breakaway, drawing the Admirals' goalie out of the net. Judge, who had tied the score in the second half with a goal, made a crisp pass by the goalie, giving Lamon an easy shot.

"She was right where she needed to be," Saints coach Becca Horn said.

The win moves the Saints into the semifinals, where they will play tomorrow against host Garrison Forest. The Saints have lost both previous matches against the Grizzlies.

"They're a great team," Horn said. "We're just hoping to be better on Thursday."
