Robosurgeon: Sarah Price donned scrubs and, with some coaxing, climbed into a chair to work the arms of Baltimore Washington Medical Center's new surgical robot. The 6-year-old won a contest at Glen Burnie Park Elementary School to name the nearby hospital's new high-tech addition - "Poppy" - and, with her classmates, got a look at a potential career field.

Christmas kitsch: In Bel Air, it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas - from a bygone era. An exhibit opening today at the Liriodendron features aluminum Christmas trees with ornaments that are "just as aesthetically challenged."

"Voice to God": Seven towering, gold-colored pipes, along with dozens more in varying sizes, have been installed to be seen and heard by the congregation at Bon Secours Spiritual Center in the Marriottsville area of Howard County. The full-scale renovation of the pipe organ is part of an upgrade at the center's chapel.
