Games To Watch

Boys Vollebyall

Harford County Championship @ North Harford

WHEN: Wednesday, 3 p.m.

OUTLOOK: C. Milton Wright comes into the tournament riding high after a perfect regular season. The Mustangs went 14-0 and lost only four sets, none of which came when their first unit was in. They'll also have some revenge on their minds after losing a close match to Fallston in the finals last year. But teams like Havre de Grace, Fallston and others have been strong, and the one-game, 25-point double elimination format can mean some surprises.

Girls Cross Country

Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland A Conference Championship @ Oregon Ridge Park

WHEN: Wednesday, 3 p.m.

OUTLOOK: John Carroll finished second last year as Notre Dame Prep pulled off a mild surprise to win the conference title. The Patriots lost two key runners from last season, but coach Rob Torres' group has slowly improved and is running well. Elizabeth Tauber has become one of the area's stronger runners, and if the Patriots can get another good effort from her, they could make some noise. The question is how well Maryvale, McDonogh and others will do.
