Halloween event for kids Friday at Marley Station

The Simon Kidgits Club will host a Halloween event with live entertainment from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday at the center court at Marley Station, 7900 Ritchie Highway, Glen Burnie.

The first 500 children to arrive in costume will receive a free trick-or-treat bag.

There will be mallwide trick-or-treating at stores with a Jack-O-lantern in their windows.

The Halloween event is free to members of the Kidgits Club. Nonmembers can preregister as a club member by visiting Simon Guest Services or by logging onto www.simonkidgitsclub.com.

Memberships are valid for one year and cost $5 per child.

'Boo Bash' at Arundel Mills

Arundel Mills mall will hold a "Boo Bash" for kids and parents from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., Friday at the mall, 7000 Arundel Mills Circle, Hanover.

Arundel Mills also announces the addition of five new retailers. Champion Outlet, J. Crew, The Limited, and Royal Jewelers are now open. A Nike Factory Store will open next month.

Hispanic council job fair

The Maryland Hispanic Workforce Council will host a Job Fair and Contractor Expo for job seekers, bilingual professionals and contractors from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., Thursday at the Quality Inn, One 2nd St., Laurel.

Tech council sets meeting

Chesapeake Regional Tech Council will hold a Membership 101 meeting at 9 a.m., Friday at 2660 Riva Road, Suite 200, Annapolis.

Meet new and veteran members and learn how to make the most of your membership.

The meeting is free with registration by 2 p.m. Thursday.

Leadership seminar

The Business Friends of St. John's College will hold its fourth annual seminar for local leaders, "Truth, rhetoric, and influence," in the Hodson Conference Room of Mellon Hall and adjacent classrooms.

The seminar's first session will be held from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Nov. 12.

The second session will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., followed by dinner.

The cost is $195.

Space is limited. Early registration is suggested.

Discuss domestic violence

The "2008 Sexual Assault/Domestic Violence Conference: Shaping the Future" will be held from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Nov. 7 at the Marriott BWI Airport Hotel.

The conference will offer workshops for providers and professionals who work with individuals and families affected by sexual assault and domestic violence.

The conference is presented by the Maryland Coalition Against Sexual Assault and the Maryland Network Against Domestic Violence.

Anne Arundel Community College will host the second E-nnovations 2008 Mid-Atlantic Entrepreneurship Conference from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 21 in Rooms 219 and 224, Cade Center for the Fine Arts, Arnold Campus, 101 College Parkway.
