Police reports in Baltimore city and county:

Northeastern Baltimore

Shooting: Warrants were to be issued charging four young men with the shooting Tuesday night of a boy, 16, in the 700 block of Beaumont Ave. Drug enforcement officers heard gunshots about 10:15 p.m. and observed a silver car occupied by four men speeding away. After officers stopped the car nearby, the police say they detected the odor of gunpowder in the vehicle and found two handguns hidden under a seat. The occupants were arrested and have been detained pending formal charges. The shooting victim was taken to an area hospital, treated and released.

Central Baltimore

Assault: A man, 42, was holding a parking space for a friend in the 100 block of Commerce St. about 3 p.m. Tuesday when he was attacked. The suspect fled the scene after the attack and was being sought. The victim sustained minor injuries to his eyes and refused medical treatment.

Baltimore Co. -- Towson

Burglary/arrest: A man, 42, was arrested Tuesday afternoon and charged with stealing a leaf blower from the backyard of a house in the 1300 block of Kenton Road a short time earlier. Officer Jason Eaton stopped a vehicle a short distance away and arrested the driver. Joseph A. Montgomery of the 1900 block of Perlman Place in Northeast Baltimore was charged with burglary and theft and held at the county Detention Center.

Baltimore Co. -- Woodlawn

Burglary: Liquor, a fur coat, several watches and jewelry, all valued at $18,000, were stolen Tuesday from a house in the 3700 block of Collier Road by someone who entered through a dining room window.
