It's Happening

5 Things To Look For Today

October 15, 2008

1

It's a wrap?:

The Phillies (left) could put themselves into the World Series with a victory in Los Angeles (8:22 p.m., chs. 45, 5). That makes this game ... pivotal.

2

Pick four:

The PGA Grand Slam of Golf finishes today (5 p.m., TNT). Here's a prediction: The winner will be Jim Furyk, Padraig Harrington, Retief Goosen or Trevor Immelman.

3

No pressure:

The U.S. soccer team already has advanced to the next round of World Cup qualifying, but the opponent tonight (8, ESPN), Trinidad and Tobago, needs a victory.

4

Retrieving the ball:

UMBC hosts Towson in women's volleyball tonight at 7. The Retrievers and Tigers are both 14-6 heading into this nonconference match.

5

Up for debate:

After tonight's presidential debate (9, various channels), ESPN will have Lou Holtz and Mark May analyze the candidates. Not really, but it sounds like a good idea.
