BOYS SOCCER

No. 9 Mount St. Joseph @No. 2 McDonogh

WHEN: Tuesday, 4 p.m.

OUTLOOK: Coming off their only loss of the season, a 2-1 upset to Perry Hall on Sept. 14, the Eagles responded two days later with a convincing 3-0 road win over the Gaels. The Eagles got two goals from Juliann Griggs. While the Eagles have some breathing room atop the MIAA A Conference, the Gaels (6-5-1) are in fourth place with a 5-4 league mark.

THE BALTIMORE SUN'S PICK: McDonogh.

FOOTBALL

No. 8 Gilman @No. 13 Poly

WHEN: Tomorrow, 7 p.m.

OUTLOOK: This nonconference game will feature a classic matchup between Poly's high-powered offense and Gilman's stingy defense. The Greyhounds (4-1) are allowing 10 points per game and last week got a pair of clutch field goals from kicker Mimmo Cricchio, including a 20-yarder in overtime, in a 13-10 win over Calvert Hall. Their challenge will be finding a way to slow down Poly (4-1), which has averaged 42 points in its four wins this season.

THE BALTIMORE SUN'S PICK: Gilman.

McDonogh@No. 7 Mount St. Joseph

WHEN: Saturday, 1 p.m.

OUTLOOK: Mount St. Joseph (3-1 overall, 1-0 MIAA A Conference) will look to rebound from last week's 23-21 loss at Class 1A state finalist Allegany. Renard Robinson ran for a pair of touchdowns for the Gaels, who led the Campers until the final minute. The Gaels, however, should be careful not to sell McDonogh (2-3, 1-1) short.

THE BALTIMORE SUN'S PICK: Mount St. Joseph.
