The Ravens turned defensive tackle Justin Bannan's first career interception into points courtesy of a 38-yard field goal by Matt Stover. Cornerback Chris McAlister picked off another pass by Kerry Collins, and the Ravens ended the quarter with a successful challenge to reverse the initial ruling of an interception by David Thornton.

Ravens 3 Titans 3

The Titans returned the favor when free safety Michael Griffin stepped in front of a pass by Joe Flacco intended for wide receiver Demetrius Williams. Rob Bironas converted a 35-yard field goal. A promising Ravens drive in the final four minutes ended without points when Stover missed a 45-yard field-goal attempt wide right.

Ravens 10 Titans 3

The Ravens opened the period with an 11-play, 71-yard drive that concluded with a 1-yard touchdown plunge by fullback Le'Ron McClain, who leads the team with four scores. After exchanging punts, the Titans ended the quarter by marching to the Ravens' 24-yard line.

Titans 13 Ravens 10

Bironas' 26-yard field goal cut the lead to four points. The Ravens responded with a march to the Titans' 37 but had to punt. Tennessee took the lead on an 11-yard pass from Collins to tight end Alge Crumpler, and cornerback Nick Harper intercepted Flacco to put the game out of reach.
