3 Things

Ravens Weekend

October 03, 2008|By Jamison Hensley

THREE THINGS THAT NEED TO GO RIGHT ...

1

Shut down the Titans' running attack. Tennessee has averaged 123.3 rushing yards on the road since 1995, which is third-best in the NFL over that time.

2

Get the return game on track. Yamon Figurs has been slowed by a hamstring injury, but the Titans' coverage teams are susceptible. They rank in the bottom five on punts and kickoffs.

3

Spread the ball around. Derrick Mason has made 16 receptions, while Todd Heap, Mark Clayton and Demetrius Williams have combined for 13 catches. Defenses are going to start doubling Mason at some point.

... AND THREE THINGS THAT COULD GO WRONG

1

Titans rough up Joe Flacco. The rookie quarterback was sacked five times Monday and faces a Tennessee defense that averages nearly four sacks.

2

Albert Haynesworth dominates inside. The volatile defensive tackle leads the Titans with five sacks and three tackles for losses.

3

Turnover bug strikes again. The Ravens have to protect the ball better Sunday against a Tennessee defense that leads the NFL with 12 takeaways.
