VOLLEYBALL

Mount Hebron @ No. 12 Wilde Lake

WHEN: Today, 5:45 p.m.

OUTLOOK: Wilde Lake (4-1), under first-year coach Caitlin Geoghan, has played surprisingly well and leaped past several county rivals, including Mount Hebron (5-2). The Wildecats, 10-3 a year ago, are helped by MH Jan Duncan, S Jackie Li and OH Camille Freeman. The Vikings rely on Hannah Wetherald.

THE BALTIMORE SUN'S PICK: Wilde Lake.

FOOTBALL

No. 13 Wilde Lake @ Atholton

WHEN: Tomorrow, 7 p.m.

OUTLOOK: There are several interesting football games in the county tomorrow, with No. 1 River Hill at Long Reach and Marriotts Ridge at Glenelg - all at 7 p.m. But Wilde Lake at Atholton might be the most intriguing. Last weekend, the Wildecats held on for a 7-6 victory over Marriotts Ridge to get coach Doug DuVall his 300th victory. Atholton rallied twice to earn its first victory of the season, 20-19, over Centennial. It will be interesting to see whether either team has a letdown after their emotional triumphs.

THE BALTIMORE SUN'S PICK: Wilde Lake.
