The cheerful yellow house, located on Westmont Court in the community of Dunkirk, about 25 miles south of Annapolis, features a roomy country kitchen, a sunny family room, finished basement family room with a pool table and 1 1/2 baths. The nearly 2-acre property includes a deck and gazebo and overlooks Lions Creek.
The home was donated to Foodlink by Russ and Trina Robison. They recently completed a major renovation on the 12-year-old house only to learn that they were being transferred to Oregon for their jobs. A friend on the organization's board of directors persuaded them to give the house to Foodlink.
Raffle tickets cost $100 and are available on the organization's Web site, www.foodlinkmaryland.org. According to an agreement among the Robisons, Foodlink and the Maryland secretary of state, at least 7,000 tickets must be sold for the raffle to be valid. If fewer tickets are sold, the purchase price will be refunded to donors, and no one will win the house.
