Not far off, if they protect the ball

With the Ravens off, it gave us a chance to get a good look at the rest of the NFL, particularly the AFC. The Ravens have a lot of work to do, but they aren't that far off. Clearly, New England remains the best-coached team in football. That Denver-San Diego game was exciting and filled with intensity. I can't see the Ravens having that kind of firepower offensively this season.

But if the Ravens stay healthy defensively they can be competitive with any of these teams, as long as they take care of the ball.
