No, the 2007 season didn't mean the Irish had to forfeit their NBC contract. Notre Dame and San Diego State have not played. The Aztecs, coached by former NFL quarterback Chuck Long (right), were picked to finish seventh in the Mountain West Conference and will start a redshirt freshman at quarterback. Sounds like a team you might want to open with coming off a 3-9 season.
