Job fair to be held Sept. 24 at Club Meade

The Maryland Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation and the Fort Meade Morale Welfare and Recreation will sponsor a community job fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 24 at Club Meade, 6600 Mapes Road, Fort Meade.

Eighty-three employers will accept applications from job seekers for more than 4,000 positions.

Job seekers should bring copies of their resumes, and be dressed and prepared for interviews.

Association holds crab feast, golf tournament

The Anne Arundel Bar Association will hold its 2008 Crab Feast for members and their guests from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., Sept. 26, at Sandy Point State Park.

Members and guests will enjoy crabs, beer and soda, corn on the cob, hamburgers, hot dogs, swimming, boat rentals, music and other entertainment.

The crab feast is free to members, $55 for guests of members. There is a $3 park entrance fee.

There will be a pre-crab feast golf tournament at 7:45 a.m. at Hunters Oak Golf Club, 500 Amberly Farm Lane, Queenstown.

The cost is $115 per person and covers greens frees, cart, prizes and refreshments.

Ninth annual TasteBuds to benefit Annapolis

The Annapolis Business Association will hold its annual fundraiser, the ninth annual TasteBuds, to benefit the beautification of downtown Annapolis.

TasteBuds will feature tastings from 25 restaurants, wine and beer, martini bar, live music, a raffle and a silent auction.

The benefit will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sept. 16 at Loews Annapolis Hotel, 126 West St.

Event tickets cost $75. Raffle tickets cost $10. Tickets can be purchased through annapolistickets.com or at Laurance Clothing, 232 Main St., or the Loews Annapolis Hotel, 126 Main St. Information: 410-956-0182.

Entrepreneurs to hold monthly luncheon

The Entrepreneur's Exchange will hold its monthly luncheon meeting from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sept. 10 at the Severn Inn, 1993 Baltimore Annapolis Blvd., Annapolis.

Featured speaker George Hepburn, of Dynasplint Systems Inc., will discuss "Lessons Learned."

Eco Art Festival planned in Severna Park Sept. 20

Eco Exchange, a group of local green home improvement businesses, will hold its first Eco Art Festival from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 20 at Holy Grounds Youth Center.

There will be live music, vendors, artists and craftsmen.
