Orioles shortstop Juan Castro, who was in an 0-for-11 skid and just 2-for-20 during the homestand, hit a double during a two-run rally in the second inning and drove in two runs with a bloop single in the fifth. Both hits came with two outs.



Orioles right fielder Nick Markakis threw out the White Sox's Jim Thome, who was trying to stretch a drive off the right-field scoreboard into a double in the third. It was Markakis' 15th assist. Going into the game, he led all major league outfielders in assists.

Aubrey Huff hit his team-leading 29th home run, a two-run shot, in the bottom of the eighth, and an out later, Kevin Millar followed with his19th homer.

Danks has worst:

August outing:

Last night was the first time in five August outings that Chicago starter John Danks gave up more than three earned runs. Danks, who had yielded just seven earned runs total in his previous four starts this month, gave up four earned runs in four innings to the Orioles.
