Subcontracting meeting held for small businesses

Hensel Phelps Construction Co. will hold a meet and greet, "Subcontracting Opportunities for Small and Minority Businesses, from 7:30 a.m. to noon Sept. 4 at the Marriott BWI, 1743 W. Nursery Road, Linthicum.

TasteBuds event to benefit Annapolis

The Annapolis Business Association will hold its annual fundraiser, the ninth annual TasteBuds, to benefit the beautification and enhancement of downtown Annapolis.

TasteBuds will feature tastings from 25 restaurants, free wine and beer, martini bar, live music, a raffle and a silent auction.

The benefit will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sept. 16 at Loews Annapolis Hotel, 126 West St.

Event tickets cost $75. Raffle tickets cost $10. Tickets can be purchased through or at Laurance Clothing, 232 Main St., or the Loews Annapolis Hotel, 126 Main St. Information: 410-956-0182.

Entrepreneur's luncheon to be held in Annapolis

The Entrepreneur's Exchange will hold its monthly luncheon/meeting from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sept. 10 at the Severn Inn, 1993 Baltimore Annapolis Blvd., Annapolis.

Featured speaker George Hepburn, of Dynasplint Systems, Inc., will discuss "Lessons Learned."

Group to mark first Eco Art Festival

Eco Exchange, a group of local green home improvement businesses, will celebrate Earth and the arts with its first Eco Art Festival from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 20 at Holy Grounds Youth Center, a part of the Severna Park Community Center.

There will be live music, vendors, artists, craftsmen and Eco Exchange members and friends stationed at booths to answer questions.

Vendor applications are due Sept. 1 and the cost is $50 for a table. Information: 410-268-4566.

W.F. Chelsey Real Estate Inc. in Crofton has announced the sales awards winners for July.

Al Ellis won the Top Listings award. Bart Johnson won the Top Sales award and Gloria Coates won the Top Settlements award.
