2 charged in plaza shooting

Two men have been arrested and charged in the attempted murder of another man in a shooting last week at a Northeast Baltimore shopping plaza, police said.

Members of the city's Warrant Apprehension Task Force arrested Marc Mitchell, 18, early Tuesday without incident at his home in the 1600 block of Pentwood Road.

Another suspect, Tavon Hammond, 23, was arrested Aug. 13. His last known address was in the 100 block of Denison St., court records show.

The men are accused of wounding another man Aug. 13 in the area of Havenwood Shopping Plaza, in the 1600 block of Havenwood Drive. Details of the shooting were not immediately available yesterday.

The men face charges of attempted murder, assault, reckless endangerment and weapons violations, court records show.

They are being held without bail at the Baltimore City Detention Center.
