Play time : A group of parents whose children will enter the Veterans Elementary School kindergarten program are arranging times for their children to play together and make new friends. The school's main playground, to the right of the school on the big blacktop, is available while school is not in session. A play group will be held at 6:30 p.m. tomorrow.

Bag sale : Trinity Church Gift & Thrift Shoppe, 6010 Waterloo Road at Pfeiffer's Corner, behind St. John's Lutheran Church in Elkridge, will continue its bag sale this month. Legal services : Attorney Thomas A. Burns will be at the Ellicott City Senior Center, 9401 Frederick Road, Ellicott City, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 27 for the 60 Plus Wills and Legal Screening Program. He will draw up simple wills, powers of attorney, living wills, and help with small estates and deed changes. The program, sponsored by the Howard County Department of Citizen Services' Office on Aging, is available on the fourth Wednesday of each month.
