Attention Getters

What to watch in the Ravens' second preseason game:

POSITION: Cornerback. With five corners banged up, the Ravens will really see what Frank Walker, Ronnie Prude, Corey Ivy and Anwar Phillips can do. Luckily for the Ravens, they are playing the pass-challenged Vikings.

VETERAN: Linebacker Brendon Ayanbadejo. The Ravens' first free-agent signing this offseason was expected to boost special teams. But he has been a pleasant surprise on defense, leading the Ravens with eight tackles in the preseason opener.

ROOKIE: Wide receiver Marcus Smith. The fourth-round pick from New Mexico is expected to be the Ravens' No. 3 receiver tonight because of injuries to Derrick Mason (knee) and Demetrius Williams (lower leg). It comes at a time when Smith is hitting his stride with the Ravens.

ON THE BUBBLE: Offensive tackle Chad Slaughter. The longtime backup was added during training camp and is trying to make up for lost time. Starting at left tackle, he needs to make a case for the Ravens to keep four tackles.

INJURY REPORT: There are 10 starters who might not play: Mason, running back Willis McGahee (knee), tight end Todd Heap (calf), offensive tackles Jared Gaither (ankle) and Adam Terry (ankle), defensive tackles Kelly Gregg (knee) and Haloti Ngata (knee), cornerbacks Chris McAlister (knee) and Samari Rolle (knee), and safety Ed Reed (shoulder).
