Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore and Baltimore County.



Burglary: A DVD player and video games were stolen Tuesday from a house in the 100 block of S. Carlton St. by someone who entered through a rear first-floor kitchen window.

Burglary: A hammer drill valued at $1,000 was stolen Tuesday from a house in the 500 block of Baltic Ave. by an unknown intruder who entered through a rear first-floor window.

Burglary/arrest : After a man entered a house in the first block of Glenmore Ave. last week and stole cell phones, he returned them to the owner Tuesday and was arrested and charged with burglary and theft. His name was not available.


Burglary : Video games, several electronics, jewelry, a safe, cash and a TV were stolen Wednesday from a house in the 600 block of Knollcrest Place by someone who entered through a bedroom window.


Vandalism : Police were seeking whoever painted obscenities on the side of a 1994 Chevrolet van parked in the 200 block of Greenview Ave. between Tuesday and Wednesday. In a possibly related incident, someone painted obscenities on the side of a 2001 Ford Expedition parked on nearby Shirley Manor Road between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning. Anyone with information is urged to call the precinct at 410-887-6975.


Theft: While a 95-year-old resident of Charlestown Retirement Community in the 700 block of Maiden Choice Lane was recuperating in a local hospital between Saturday and Wednesday, someone entered her apartment and stole cash, jewelry and a silver place setting. The property was valued at $1,600.
