The suspected driver of a stolen pickup truck that killed a Hereford woman Tuesday morning when it crashed into her bedroom was charged yesterday with multiple counts of burglary and theft, Baltimore County police said.

Aubry Carlton Miller Jr., 30, of the 20700 block of Old York Road in Parkton was charged with vehicle theft, five counts of fourth-degree burglary, grand theft and lesser theft charges, said Cpl. Michael Hill, a police spokesman. Purses and other items found in the truck, which had been reported stolen before the crash, linked Miller to a string of burglaries from cars in the area, Hill said.

Miller could face additional charges after police finish the investigation, Hill said.

Mary Patricia Sullivan of the 16800 block of York Road was killed as she slept about 5 a.m. Tuesday when the truck went out of control and slammed into her first-floor bedroom in a house about 20 feet off the road.

When police responded to Sullivan's home, they found the vehicle abandoned, Hill said. They found Miller not far from the scene soon after, he said.

Miller was denied bail at a hearing yesterday and was being held in the Baltimore County Detention Center, officials said.
