Kosher with Salsa

The lowdown: Kosher with Salsa, by Miryam Madrigal and directed by Jerry Gietka, is a romantic comedy about a Mexican Jewish convert and a Jewish girl from Beverly Hills, Calif. The show is the Baltimore Playwrights Festival's final presentation at the Fell's Point Corner Theatre.

Aerial photos

The lowdown: Stick and Shutter: Aerial Landscape Photography by Peter Stern is a collection of digital photographs that the artist took during a three-year period in southeastern Pennsylvania. All of the photos were taken while Stern was flying an ultralight plane. Most aerial photographers pay a professional to fly them around while they work; Stern was in the plane alone.

Garden jazz

The lowdown: Rolando Matias & The Afro-Rican Ensemble will play its spontaneous fusion of Afro-Caribbean and bebop in the Baltimore Museum of Art's sculpture garden Saturday as part of the museum's summer jazz series. Guests can enjoy the artists in the gardens and are permitted to bring their own picnic. Food is also available for sale.
