Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore and Baltimore County.



Theft: A bicycle valued at $800 was stolen Saturday or Sunday from the backyard of a house in the 700 block of S. Curley St. by someone who cut a security chain linked to a fence.

Stolen vehicle : A black 1995 Honda Accord with tags A193801 was stolen over the weekend in the 1300 block of S. Ponca St.

Theft: A refrigerator valued at $1,000 was stolen over the weekend from a house in the 300 block of S. Collington Ave. by someone who entered through a side kitchen window.

Theft : A global positioning system valued at $700 was stolen Sunday from a 2006 Chevrolet Trail Blazer parked in the 2200 block of Essex St.


Robbery : A gunman forced his way into a house in the 1000 block of Wilmot Court about 3 a.m. Sunday and assaulted a woman before fleeing with a 32-inch TV. Arrested a short time later and charged with armed robbery and assault was Rodney Baxter, 34, of the 500 block of N. Belnord Ave.

Drug arrests : District officers were in covert positions in the 2000 block of Robb St. between midnight and 5 a.m. Sunday when they observed drug activity and arrested five men dealing crack cocaine, police said.


Burglary: Police were seeking the person who broke into a city Department of Recreation and Parks building in the 1800 block of Covington St. over the weekend and spray-painted graffiti and a swastika. The intruder also stole a cell phone. Anyone with information is urged to call the district at 410-396-2499.

Arrest: A male resident of the 5600 block of Daybreak Terrace was arrested Sunday and charged with breaking into a neighbor's home Saturday. Police said entry was gained through a second-floor window from a ladder. Charged with burglary was Dennis Leathers, 53, police said. A $600 computer was recovered, police said.

Robbery: Police were seeking four young males who assaulted and robbed a boy, 15, of his wallet, $4 and a gift card in the 1300 block of Chapel Hill Drive about 9 p.m. Sunday. Total value of the property was $225.
