At least two people were stabbed and one badly beaten yesterday afternoon in Glen Burnie, authorities said.

Police received a 911 call about 2:45 p.m. reporting a stabbing in the 500 block of Chad Avenue, said Battalion Chief Matthew Tobia, a spokesman for the Anne Arundel County Fire Department.

The three injured people included a 42-year-old woman in critical condition suffering from a stab wound to the upper torso; a 40-year-old man, who was described as "badly beaten" and suffered injuries that were considered life-threatening; and a 27-year-old man who suffered a laceration that was described as minor, Tobia said.

The woman and the 40-year-old man were taken to Maryland Shock Trauma Center. The 27-year-old man was taken to Baltimore Washington Medical Center.

No names have been released. It was unclear whether any arrests had been made or if police had any suspects.
